A7FL Los Angeles Division Announces Their First Teams For 2022!

A7FL Los Angeles Division Teams

A7FL Los Angeles, one of 5 new divisions to join the American 7s Football League for the 2022 campaign, has announced the four teams that will represent the city of angels in the league’s eighth season kicking off on March 27th.

Entrepreneur, sports marketer, author and television host David Meltzer purchased the division last season with an eye towards taking down the league’s traditional east coast powerhouse teams.

First up is a team known to fans of the 7-on-7 league for their run to the 2021 playoffs in 2021 as part of the San Diego division. The Los Angeles Aces – featuring the best talent out of Compton – have come home to help launch the LA division.  Led by tough as nails running back Billy Mallard and the wideout/defensive backs the Crummie brothers, Darryll and Willie, the Aces went 8-1 2021, taking the top spot in the  A7FL San Diego division.

“The Aces are a model of an expansion franchise in the A7FL,” League President Ryan DePaul said of the franchise. “With a solid running attack and a full season under their belt, they may make another run at the title in 2022.”

And while the Aces have the advantage heading into the A7FL’s eighth season, they may not be the stars of the upcoming season, as the Hollywood Heroes look to take flight and bring the A7FL Championship to the bright lights of Tinseltown.

Paying homage to the initial color scheme of the Los Angeles Chargers from their dominant run in the 1960s (as well as a Hollywood “golden era”), the Heroes look to soar over the competition and save the day for their fans.

“These guys really are heroes,” A7FL Producer Matt Ryan said. “They’re stepping onto the field of battle for their city, friends and family all the while chasing their dreams and a 9-5. How do you not root for that?”

The next team looks to crash on the competition and pull them out into deep water, as the Long Beach Wave look to sink anyone who dares defeat them.

With a uniform paying respect to the “greatest show on turf” with an early LA Rams color scheme, the team that reps the home of A7FL fan and legendary hip hop star Snoop Dogg, the Wave have eyes on championship glory and their chance to make a splash in the A7FL.

“We want this division to be the definitive representation of Los Angeles, in style, presentation, and most importantly football,” saod A7FL Los Angeles owner David Meltzer.  “As a businessman and a sports fan, I know that hard work, determination and putting faith in the people who put in the work will yield us the result we want, and that’s the A7FL Championship residing on the West Coast for the first time ever.”

The final team to join the A7FL’s glitziest division is all about one thing…a vibe.

Paying homage to the pastel-colored wonder of the 1980s and the cascading neon of its iconic pier, the Santa Monica Vibe bring a unique energy to the A7FL that they hope will not only resonate with fans, but also lead them to victory.  With $50,000 in total prize money at stake this season, all the teams have an extra incentive to bring everything they’ve got every Sunday.
