If You Missed the June 12th A7FL Football Action, You Missed THE Game of the Season with the Baltimore Rare Breed Just Edging Out the Tampa Nightcrawlers and Two More Amazing Battles for a Final Four Spot THIS SUNDAY.
The A7FL 2022 Final Four is set, as the Elite Eight witnessed an instant classic, a team on their road to a destiny-defining championship and another team hungry for revenge.
With the Paterson U punching their ticket last week in a 52-6 win over the Baltimore Hit Squad, the Baltimore Rare Breed and Tampa NightCrawlers squared off to face them in two weeks at Abessinio Stadium.
With a heroic effort from the NightCrawlers’ Mark Bagway and the Rare Breed’s Marcellus Pack, both teams had what many are considering the best game of 2022 so far and a game that will go on as one of the greatest in A7FL history.
After heading into halftime tied 18-18, the Rare Breed and quarterback Roekim Chaney were held scoreless for 29:20 seconds until the utilization of the “Maryland Special” from backup Quarterback Lenny “Manziel,” who connected with Pack for an insane touchdown to put the second seed within one of the Southeast Division champions.
Following an insane two-point conversion by Baltimore, Bagway looked to rally his team to victory and after having a game-winning play brought back on an offensive penalty, Tampa would be unable to cross the goal line one final time seeing them eliminated from the playoffs 26-25.
Our second game would see the Vegas Force cross three time zones one more time to battle the undefeated top seed Trenton BIC, and in a masterful performance by the BIC defense and a hyper-focused running game, the expansion Force would be forced to eat the smack talk they dealt the week leading up to the game, heading back to Sin City with a 63-19 loss.
The final game would see the Baltimore Gators punch their own ticket to the national Final Four to face off against with the BIC, who defeated the former A7FL Champions in week four 39-13, as they would shut down the East Orange Renegades on the backs of a hybrid run/pass game that featured a Quarterback by committee due to Jon Gause Jr. being sidelined with an injury.
