Voting Methodology

The 2024 A7FL awards were determined through a robust voting process designed to incorporate expert insights and fan engagement. The voting committee included representatives from across the league: a member of sports media, A7FL’s lead statistician, the league’s four broadcasters, and former A7FL players. Each committee member was asked to rank their top three choices for each award category, with each position assigned specific point values—20 points for a first-place vote, 10 for second, and 5 for third. Fan involvement added an exciting dimension, with the fan poll contributing 25% to the overall point total, weighted at 5 points for first place, 2.5 for second, and 1 for third. This comprehensive system ensured that the award results reflected both expert opinion and fan passion, celebrating the season’s standout athletes from every angle.
