BIC defeats the defending back-to-back champs in dominant fashion, 53-39, to bring the Trophy back to New Jersey
The kings are back and the throne belongs to Trenton.
The Trenton BIC have captured their third A7FL 7s Championship, delivering a statement win against the Las Vegas Insomniacs, the league’s back-to-back defending champions. In a high-scoring, hard-hitting battle, BIC walked away with a 53-39 victory, bringing the 7s Cup back to New Jersey and putting the league on notice.
This was more than just a championship game, it was a clash between the two best franchises in the league, and BIC left no doubt who runs the A7FL in 2025. Fans following the league or checking out Sportsbook Reviews knew this was expected to be a high-intensity matchup, and it did not disappoint.
Sterry Codrington, the reigning MVP, led the charge with a performance that will be remembered for years, balancing explosive runs with surgical passing to keep the Insomniacs’ defense off-balance. With former Insomniacs, now BIC star, Trey Robinson, bulldozing through tacklers and Isaac Negron anchoring a ferocious defensive unit, BIC outplayed, outlasted, and outclassed Vegas when it mattered most.
The Insomniacs, led by Scott Hamilton and Davick Clark, came in looking to make it three straight back to back titles but the BIC defense refused to let history repeat itself.
After knocking off the defending champs, Trenton BIC has now joined the A7FL elite with championship wins in 2016, 2022, and 2025. More importantly, they’ve brought the 7s Cup Trophy back home to New Jersey, where the BIC legacy began.
Final Score: Trenton BIC 53, Las Vegas Insomniacs 39.
Congratulations to your 2025 A7FL Champions Trenton BIC.
