A7FL 2026 Season 12 Throws Off Sunday, March 15

Boca Raton, FL – OCT 21, 2025 – The American 7s Football League (A7FL®) today announced key dates for its 2026 season, with Opening Day set for Sunday, March 15, 2026. Entering its twelfth season, the A7FL continues to redefine the future of full-contact, no-helmet football with its trademark blend of speed, toughness, and authenticity.

Key Dates for A7FL 2026

  • Opening Day: Sunday, March 15, 2026
  • Regular Season: March 15 – May 7, 2026
  • Playoffs: May 17 – June 14, 2026
  • Championship Sunday: June 28, 2026

The league’s complete 2026 schedule, including Game of the Week matchups and broadcast details, will be announced in November.

New for Season 12: Georgia Division Joins the League

The A7FL expands its footprint with the addition of a new Georgia Division, anchored by the first A7FL team out of Atlanta. The team’s official name and branding will be announced soon, marking the league’s next step in building strong, regional markets across the U.S.

“The addition of Georgia is a milestone that shows how far the league has come from our origins in the Northeast, ” said A7FL Co-Founder and CEO Sener Korkusuz. “Atlanta has football in its DNA, and A7FL’s brand of fearless, no-helmet competition fits that energy perfectly.”

What to Expect This Season

The 2026 season promises another year of intense rivalries, breakout performances, and unforgettable highlights, all leading up to The 7s Championship on June 28, 2026, when the A7FL 7s Cup will once again be on the line.

“Every play in the A7FL is earned, there’s no helmets, no pads, no field goals,” added A7FL Co-Founder and President Ryan DePaul. “It’s football stripped down to its core, fast, fearless, and real.”

Return of the Stars and Rise of the Next Generation

Fans will see the return of some of the league’s most dominant performers and highlight-makers. Standouts like 2024 MVP Sterry Codrington (Trenton BIC), who led his team with precision under pressure. Rising star David Tender (Silk City Animals), Rookie of the Year turned Offensive Player of the Year in the same season. They’ll be joined by rising Midwest standouts like quarterback Keno Thomas and his receiver Ametrice Hall of the QC Crush, a duo known for their chemistry and big-play connection. And out West, Donjae Lyons of the Las Vegas Insomniacs brings elite speed and agility to every snap, while Anthony Wilkerson continues to prove he’s one of the league’s most explosive all-around athletes.

But make no mistake: this is your league and we’re moving forward together. New names will emerge. New stories will define this generation of gladiators. Expect veterans who’ve been there before and unlock potential in those who’ve never stepped in without a helmet.

Media Coverage and Partnerships

During the 2025 season, A7FL fans tuned in through major media partners including DAZN, FOX Soul, FITE, and Triller, with encore presentations on Stadium. The league’s 2026 media partners for live Game of the Week coverage will be announced this fall, along with enhanced digital experiences for fans following the action nationwide.

Building with Brands That Believe

We’ve locked in new and renewed sponsor partnerships, names that believe in the authenticity of the A7FL brand. Returning partners like SEEEN, Lockeroom Chat, G8RTech, and TapeMeUp continue to fuel the league’s growth, each aligned with A7FL’s mission to redefine football for a new generation.
