Paterson U vs Baltimore Cobras

The U played a dominating game against the Cobras, beating them 63 to 30. Patterson U did it in their usual fashion, by spreading the ball around and getting contributions from all players on the roster. Quatrell Huff was 8 of 10 with 185 in the air with 2 touchdowns. The Cobras fought in the first half with 2 TD returns on throw-offs, but in U fashion, they scored 3 touchdowns in the third quarter without the help of the offense. The U’s defense ran back a touchdown on an interception and their special teams returned a throw-off for a touchdown. OG Buck didn’t have all that good of a day under center for the Cobra giving up 4 sacks and throwing one interception. The U moves on to play BIC next week.

Baltimore Gators vs Trenton BIC

This one was a back and forth slugfest, especially in the second half. In the first half, Sterry Codrington went off, getting all of his 82 yards in the air and 107 of his rushing yards, scoring 2 touchdowns and taking BIC to a sizable lead in the first half. However, the Gators didn’t give up. Roberts rushed for all 3 of his touchdowns in the second half. John Gause Jr played hurt throughout the game and gave a gutsy performance, throwing for over 200 yards. The game came down to penalty flags at the end and a bunch of calls made by the refs, but the last flag dropped BIC’s way, putting an end to an incredible Gator comeback and allowing BIC to eliminate an undefeated team on their journey to a potential championship. However, there is a gigantic roadblock. The last undefeated team in the North East and defending A7FL Champion Patterson U stands in their way in 2 weeks in the A7FL National Final 4.

Los Angeles Aces vs San Diego ShockWave

Trailing 12-7 at halftime, the undefeated Los Angeles Aces’ held the San Diego Shockwave scoreless in the second half and came away with an impressive 25-12 victory and the first-ever A7FL California Division Championship.
