The A7FL Cincinnati Division Joins 3 Other New Divisions For 2022 as the League Expands from  4 To 8 Divisions

A7FL Cincinnati Division

The A7FL welcomes Cincinnati as a part of the 4 new divisions to be added to the league in 2022 which include Boston and Las Vegas. The Cincinnati area, including the northern parts of Kentucky just across the Ohio River, is ripe for the A7FL Football. The Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds are iconic sports teams and brands that solidify the area’s long-standing commitment and passion for pro sports. Now it’s time for the A7FL’s 7-on-7 style of play to enter the market and bring Spring football action with local players, on a national platform.

“Adding the A7FL Cincinnati Division as a part of our national league expansion is another step toward us.” said A7FL Co-Founder & CEO, Sener Korkusuz  “The greater Cincinnati area, including the areas of Kentucky right across the river, is a hot-bed of football fans and we can’t wait to open it up to players and fans alike. Division ownership is vital to our expansion plans and we are thrilled to have  Joseph Perez taking on ownership of the Cincinnati market.”

A7FL Cincinnati Division Ownership

Get To Know… Joseph Perez, A7FL Cincinnati Division Owner

The eighth season of the American 7’s Football League (A7FL) includes several new divisions. As the popularity of the sport grows so does our expansion into new markets. Over the course of the next few weeks, we introduce you to our newest owners, including Joe Perez, who joins our Cincinnati Division.

Perez played baseball back in the early 2000’s but didn’t make it very far. After joining the military, he decided to pursue a degree in Sports Management with a minor in Exercise Science. Back surgery forced him to put the degree on hold and now seven years later, he enrolled in law school to focus on the athlete and entertainment representation field.

What made you want to be an A7FL owner?

Initially, I was going to only invest in the league, but after doing some more research I noticed that it was the opportunity of a lifetime. Not many people were able to invest in the NFL during its infancy. So for me, an “Average Joe” to be able to own a division and grow with the league is one of the biggest accomplishments in my entrepreneurial phase.

Why do you believe you have a great market for an A7FL division?

Ohio is FOOTBALL! Cincinnati is filled with football (Bengals, Bearcats, flag football leagues, etc), BUT was lacking the summer football action that A7FL can produce.

What are your goals over the next three years?

My short-term goal (first season) is to get our division in local television. My long-term goal (2nd and 3rd seasons) is to win a national championship.

What do you think the future holds for the A7FL?

We all know that the NFL is huge and probably too hard to compete against when it comes to national television ratings, but I honestly think that the A7FL could become the farm for NFL teams. A great thing about A7FL is that player safety comes first. Taking away helmets and pads force players to use proper tackling techniques. Now, imagine how much safer the NFL would be if every player played at least one season in the A7FL and took what they learned with them up to the professional level.

Stay tuned as we introduce you to our newest A7FL owners!
