The American 7s Football League® (A7FL) has officially announced the winners of the 2025 A7FL Player Awards, following weeks of fan voting and standout performances across the league’s historic 11th season.
The Trenton BIC cemented their dynasty in 2025, capturing the A7FL Championship with a dominant victory over the Las Vegas Insomniacs in The 7s Championship. Led by MVP Sterry Codrington and Special Teams standout Ashante Worthy, the BIC proved once again why they’re the gold standard of the league, disciplined, explosive, and built for the big stage.
From breakout rookies to established stars, here are the players who defined what it means to play fearless, fast, and full-contact football, no pads, no helmets, no excuses.
2025 A7FL Player Award Winners
🏆 Most Valuable Player (MVP): Sterry Codrington – Trenton BIC Codrington continues to build his legacy as one of the league’s all-time greats, leading his team with unmatched playmaking and consistency on both sides of the ball.
⚡ Offensive Player of the Year:Kason Campbell – Trenton BIC Campbell’s speed and open-field vision made him a nightmare for defenders all season, delivering highlight after highlight in big-game moments.
💪 Defensive Player of the Year:Donjae Lyons – Las Vegas Insomniacs Representing the West, Lyons set the tone defensively with game-changing tackles, turnovers, and leadership that kept the Watchmen defense among the league’s most feared.
🚀 Offensive Rookie of the Year:Anthony Service – East Orange Renegades A breakout star from the East, Service wasted no time making an impact, showing poise, pin point accuracy, and veteran level confidence well beyond his rookie season.
🧱 Defensive Rookie of the Year:Shannon Allen – Las Vegas Insomniacs Allen’s explosive debut season put offenses on notice, his speed off the edge and relentless pursuit made him a standout in every matchup.
🎯 Special Teams Player of the Year:Ashante Worthy – Trenton BIC A veteran playmaker and fan favorite, Worthy once again proved why he’s one of the most electric players in A7FL history, delivering iconic 3 on 1 returns and game-shifting moments.
