American 7s Football® Partners with Sports Social Media Giant WAVE.tv

A7FL® No-Helmets No-Pads Championship on Sunday August 16

BOCA RATON – The American 7s Football League (A7FL), pioneering no-helmets, no-pads, full-contact tackle football, and WAVE.tv, the sports media company for today’s fan, today announced a content partnership that will bring the league’s highlights to all WAVE.tv platforms. As the first football league to return to play in 2020, the A7FL is poised to crown a new champion in the 2020 A7FL Back in Motion Tournament presented by Salus® on August 16 when the league’s two undefeated teams, the NJ Hawks and the Patterson U, collide at 8 PM ET. 

All the action from the A7FL’s current season as well as past and future highlights and digital content will be distributed across WAVE.tv’s portfolio of media brands, with an emphasis on WAVE.tv’s football media brands “JUKES” and “HARDCOUNT”. WAVE.tv will work with A7FL to create exciting custom programming for its Gen Z and Millennial audience of modern sports fans. The WAVE.tv network reaches 250 million viewers and receives 3.2 billion views monthly across it’s portfolio, on platforms including TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

The 2020 A7FL Back in Motion Tournament presented by Salus® began play on July 26 with a 4-team 4-week tournament broadcast LIVE from Yogi Berra Stadium in Montclair, NJ, by ELEVEN Sports and For the Fans (FTF) Network, with additional live digital distribution via Facebook Watch and Twitch. After 3 rounds of play, the New Jersey Hawks and the Paterson U will face off on Sunday, August 8 at 8:00 PM ET for the league’s first ever tournament championship. As part of the tournament, all athletes and other league personnel have been tested repeatedly for COVID-19 as part of the league’s stringent return to play protocol, and brought together into a COVID-19 free “biosphere” made possible by the Salus app.
