A7FL Expands to Washington DC

A7FL Washinton DC 2022

Adds 9th Division For 2022 Season, Joins Competition for $50,000 in Total Prize Money

Just 2 full seasons ago the A7FL boasted 2 divisions (New Jersey and Baltimore). Last season the league grew to 4 divisions with the addition of Orlando and San Diego. Now the A7FL is adding our nation’s capital as our 9th division for 2022, where it will join already announced expansion markets Boston, Cincinnati, Las Vegas/Nevada, and Los Angeles.

“The American 7s Football League is the fastest growing football league in the country,” said Co-Founder and CEO Sener Korkusuz. “Players and young fans are both hungry for more of our no-helmets no-pads tackle football, and we – along with our new division owners – are going to give it to them.”

The Washington DC division and its 4 new teams will be headed by Lawrence Brown, a former  Air Force Falcon football player at the Academy, who then served as an Air Force officer prior to getting his MBA and becoming an entrepreneur with a focus on sports marketing. “We’ve already been working with LB behind the scenes,” continued Korkusuz. “The DC division is gearing up to register its players and get going!”

With its 9 divisions, the A7FL’s 2022 season will feature 36 teams across the country. Many divisions are currently registering players for Fall Brawl, a preseason training camp with practices and scrimmages where players can get their first taste of A7FL action.
