Baltimore Army’s Star RB Deon McDaniel

At 5’8″ in height and 227 lbs., Deon McDaniel is an every down back with great vision and acceleration. Raised in the Brooklyn Homes section of the South Baltimore Projects, Deon now 25 years young stopped playing ball after high school.

It always amazes me to see talent like this go unnoticed but it’s unfortunately common. It takes luck, support system, great skill, and more luck to make it to the next level in this game. While Deon obviously has the skill I pressed a little more to ask why he hasn’t played at the next level. “My past hurt by future,” explained Deon “but I love this game so I will keep playing it and hopefully I get recognized and go further.”

Deon is currently employed at the Under Armor warehouse to provide for his 4 year old Son. While his Baltimore Army team was knocked out of the playoffs last year Deon AKA “All Purpose” was one of the best backs in the league last year and even had a few sacks at DE along with a TD pass vs. the NJ Hawks.
