Games of the Week Recap
After the Gators (3-0) jumped out to a 26-6 lead, the Savage (1-2) mounted a strong comeback eventually getting within 6 points at 26-20. But following a 99-yard throw-off return, the Gators held on to beat the Savage 34-20. Player of the game Gators RB Angelo “Snagesosa” Lewis scored 2 touchdowns along with 129 yards on 3 throw-off returns.
Trenton BIC (3-0) dominated this game from beginning to end with a lopsided 50-0 victory over the Silk City Animals (0-3). While some had hoped the Animals’ free agents would step up, BIC would have none of it and player of the game BIC QB Sterry “Cod” Codrington Jr. put up massive numbers. In the end, he completed 7 of 10 passes for 261 yards and 4 TDs while rushing 7 times for 137 yards and another TD. A 5-TD game for Cod and a big win for the BIC.
